Subtle dimension. This can be tricky because subtle dimension is very soft and not super noticeable, even if a client says that’s what they want. But the truth is, nearly every client wants to have a noticeable difference when they leave the salon whether they realize that or not. So for the stylist, it’s a balancing act of being subtle but noticeable but not too noticeable. Bc nothing is worse than giving them what they asked for and then hearing them say “I wish it was more noticeable”.

*** P.S. that was not the case with this client she did want noticeable subtle. And I do think we achieved that..I lifted to a nice copper, then toned and let her see, decided to be a little darker so I dropped the toner level to make it more subtle.

Fall here! And so are the warmer, fall tones!

Heading into Fall and going darker! Rich and velvety!

It’s the simple things in life, like being a tween girl and getting your first highlight. The excitement they all feel when they see it for the first time is something so sweet! 💖 The older I get, the more I appreciate these moments.

‼️This week starts my new schedule.‼️

It is absolutely so important that you’re on time so that I can get my son to his afternoon class on time. He is depending on me.

🚨If you are late, (bc i know sometimes things happen out of our control) it could mean: you get a mini instead of a full, you dont get a trim, you don’t get a blow dry or styled, or you just get rescheduled.

(I have done my best to add a little cushion for time.)

💙💙For those that don’t know why my hours and days have changed….It’s so I can be more present for my boys, to focus on their homeschool, to be available to take my oldest to and from his afternoon class and to be involved in co-op on Tuesdays. I look forward to this time bc I’m very aware how little time I have left before they graduate.
