I believe that you can find all information about smokey eyes on the internet, yet when I offer a lot of my clients smokey eyes; they say : “it’s gonna be too much for me”.

I think I hear it often because of a stereotype that I guess is still pretty common that smokey eyes is a very dark and dramatic makeup.

In fact smokey eyes is just a makeup technique when:

✅ darkest shades are applied to lash line, water line
✅ colour is softly and evenly blended fading towards the crease and further towards the eyebrow
✅ can be applied in all colours and shades, starting with beige n**e (with brown liner and brown mascara for example ) and ending with bold black smokey eyes
✅ perfect for all eye shapes, one of the best techniques for hooded eyes
✅ can be used for any type of makeup (everyday, bridal, red carpet, tv makeup … etc)

Do you still think that Smokey eyes is too much for you? 😉

I used bronze shades for the makeup on the pic and black is only in the lash like, in my opinion one of the best types of makeup for a special event or just to go out. Not too much and still poops up the eye. What do you think?

Do you agree that fake lashes completely change the whole look? ⠀

I love fake eyelashes but unfortunately I see a lot of examples when wrong sized and shaped lashes spoil the whole makeup. Very long and full doesn’t necessarily mean very good. ⠀

💫 Eyelashes should fit the proportion of the face, unless you’re looking for a really dramatic effect. Eyelashes shouldn’t be long up to the eye brows, it looks creepy.⠀

💫 When eyelashes are too full, they cover the eye makeup you have when your eyes are open and create a heavy looking effect.⠀

💫 When using strip eyelashes always make sure that the length of the strip fits your eyes and if not, then cut the outer corners. Always try the eyelashes before glueing them.⠀

💫 Try to glue eyelashes as close to the lash line as possible.⠀
⠀
💫 If it seems hard for you to apply fake eyelashes on your own then try this trick!☝🏻 After you tried the strip and cut it to fit your eye perfectly cut it to 2-3 pieces and glue every piece separately, you’ll see that it’s much easier then trying to glue the whole strip.⠀

As for me, I use individual eyelashes more often in my work, because it creates a more natural effect. And for myself I use corner mini lashes because they are super easy to apply and help me create my favorite cat eye effect 😊✨⠀
