Healthy, shiny, dimensional… yes, please. 🤎

This look was created with soft highlights, a custom glaze, and a smooth blowout.

From years of at-home box dye to a soft, warm brunette. ✨

Color corrections are some of the most complex services but also some of the most rewarding.

Years of box color create layers of artificial pigment that don’t simply “wash out.” Lifting that color while keeping the hair healthy requires experience and patience.

For this transformation, our goal wasn’t just lighter hair. It was creating a beautiful, dimensional look while maintaining the integrity of her hair. The result is a soft warm brunette with some highlights that add movement and brightness. She was looking for a color that would blend more with her grey as they grow in.

If you’ve been coloring your hair at home and are wondering if a change is possible, don’t assume you’re stuck. Every situation is different, but with the right consultation and plan, it can be done

✨ Save this for inspiration.

If you’re quoting this reel while watching it… we found our people.

POV: You’re trying to convince your client that shampoo and conditioner are equally important…

Truth is, healthy hair starts at home.

✨ Shampoo keeps your scalp healthy.
✨ Conditioner keeps your hair healthy.

Skip one, and the other has to work overtime.

Now let’s hear it…
Are you Team “I always run out of shampoo first” or Team “Conditioner disappears in a week”? 😂👇

If you’ve been afraid highlights will make you “too blonde,” this is your sign. 🤎

The goal wasn’t to change her color—it was to enhance it. Soft ribbons of light create natural dimension while keeping her rich brunette-look intact.

Healthy, shiny, effortless… exactly how brunette hair should feel.

Do you have thick, straight, course hair?…

When making a change this dramatic, every step matters. From removing the length to creating shape, texture, and movement, each tool and technique was chosen with a purpose.

Swipe through to see:
✂️ The before
✂️ The transformation process
✂️ The tools I used
✂️ Why I used them
✂️ The final result

The traditional cutting shears:
Used to cut the bulk of the hair and also to fine tune details at the end. Purposely left her natural hairline and cut away any rouge strands.

Clippers:
Used to remove the bulk of the hair around the back and sides, without leaving bulkiness that sometimes shears can leave. It also creates and even base as a starting point for the rest of the cut.

Razor:
This is used to remove bulk, add texture and shape without any harsh lines. Thick course hair can seem choppy and bulky, using a razor creates a tapered edge on the hair strands. Gives the hair texture and movement.

Texturizing shears:
Do exactly that…add texture. Texturizing was done between the transition from the clippers to the razor. To create a seamless blend.

Overall the razor is star here! The entire top was cut strictly with a razor. Course hair can quickly get a bowl-like look and the razor helps avoid that!

If you’ve read this far down….thanks ☺️

And can we talk about how perfectly she wears this pixie? 🔥
