Four awards from my mentor. I’m still letting that sink in.

But honestly...the first thing I thought about wasn’t the recognition. It was my team.

Growth has always been the goal here, not just for the salon, but for every person who walks through these doors as a stylist. I’ve been lucky to have mentors who pushed me to think bigger, lead better, and never get too comfortable with where I am. And that's the energy I want to pour into the people around me every single day.

These awards mean a lot. But what they really remind me is that there’s always a next level, and I want all of us to reach it together.

Let's talk about the scary C word....CUT! ✂️

Look at your ends right now. Are they full and strong or wispy like a broom? If it's the latter, hear me out.

Most people want to trim between a 3 and 4 on the length chart. I actually chopped this one around the 2 mark, and here's why: that's where the hair is still visually full, not see-through, and a strong clean line can actually be created. See the next few photos!

To grow your hair out you HAVE to trim it. Every 3 to 4 months, half an inch or less. Neglect your ends and split ends travel up toward your scalp, cause breakage, and snap off before you ever see the length. You will never win the growing game that way.

If I'm recommending we take a little more than a dusting, it's coming from a place of love, I promise. I want you to actually reach your hair goals. 💛

There’s something I come back to a lot when I talk to people who are just getting started in this industry, or really *any* industry where you work closely with people.

What we do is irreplaceable.

Not because I’m being sentimental about it, but because the thing people are actually coming to us for is presence. Undivided, unhurried, human presence. That block of time where it is just the two of you. That’s not going away. That’s not something that gets disrupted or optimized out of existence, and it matters more now than ever.

And that same hunger for real connection is what keeps pulling me back to gatherings like this one. People who are building things, who show up for each other, who push each other to stop playing small.

Also I rode a mechanical bull and I would do it again immediately.
