As a parent, I easily neglect my own self-care. While I do exercise regularly, tend to business affairs, household errands, and the usual day to day operations of life. I effortlessly, find myself in a perpetual cycle.

Today was a little different, I had most of the day to myself. After breakfast with my son, he went on to spend the day with his buddies. I got on my bike and went out for some good old “Wind in my face” therapy. When I get out on my bike, I actually connect in spirit with my own father. He and I shared the same passion for motorcycles. Thinking of him while I ride, becomes natural progression. Almost organic.

I often think about how proud he would be of my own son. If he only knew how beautiful, thoughtful and passionate his grandson is. He would surely give me that nod of approval.

Today, I connected with my father and it was amazing. I hope your day was just as beautiful.
