A bit of good news today! We have found our forever home. Avalon Assisted living in Commerce Township. We are elate d and can’t wait to move, it’s almost like cruising without a ship. It will be like like living in a 10 star hotel. Food was great too! Not too far past where we live now. Near 275 and M5. They had some great entertainment there today.

Hope to be in by April 1st. Our new beginning. Jim’s cancer has metastasized, had a severe reaction to meds to put him in twilight sleep. Always happens when he gets treatments or biopsies.

My sight is grring so bad from macular degeneration and tears in retina. I am going to see how quickly I can get in to see him. They can slow the progression.

Thanks for all the prayers, and to all who have reached out to me. Please continue to pray for us

A huge big shout out to some very special people in our lives. #1 son of all time, Scott, Lisa - Ziolkowski-Jastrzab, our granddaughters and friend Sandy Marcotte. Scott and Sandy were here doing a job, they should not have had to do. Ther are not enough word to express the appreciation we feel for what the did. They had a nightmare here. Hopefully real soon, we will be in assisted living/memory care. Jim saw the cancer Doctor on Monday, gave him tests to have redone in three month, however the nurse practitioner called for he doc, pathology came back invasive cancer. Those tests.
can’t wait. Just waiting for a call that the hospital got a new copy with a new date to be done now.

Scott, again for taking off 1/2 day on Wednesday to come here to help with Jim. He could do that because of Lisa, the special person that she is. She kept the girls numerous hours while it was one of daddy’s days to have the girls. Also, for the girls who gave up daddy time, but mom took them to do something fun, and the girls thoroughly enjoyed it. Making fun memories for the girls. Lisa and Scott are blessed to share 2 beautiful daughters together. They are all a Blessing to us.

Sandy, what can I say. You have blessed us with your friendship, and never ending giving of anything we need. Both you and Paul blessed our lives and all the memories, good and bad. You have gone above and beyond the description of a friend. You kindly gave numerous hous here yesterday, and days gone by, helping or trying to help me understand all Jim has done for our family, bankng, investments, getting his own meds, and doing mine while he was in the boxes of meds he had. Doing all of the hanwork and faxing things to VA, to get him 100% disabled once the cancer came, and so much more. Both Jim and I appreciate all of you have done for us. Thank you for everything, I hope I can help and inspire someone in assisted living the way you have us.

Super moist Banana Bread

Recipe:
3 ripe bananas
3 eggs
1/2 cup salted butter
1/2 cup unsweetened apple sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup white sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 cups regular flour

Preheat oven to 350F.
Mix all wet ingredients in a large bowl. Then, add in dry ingredients. Mix well until combined. Pour in a loaf pan. Bake at 350 F for 50-60 minutes till golden brown on top. Enjoy!
