As we step into the new year, I’ve taken some time to reflect on 2023, and I must admit it wasn’t my finest. It turned out to be my lowest and most challenging year.

The departure of my whole staff left me facing an empty space that I had to navigate and support on my own. It was a daunting task, one that forced me to asses the realities of my role as a salon owner.

Looking back on my career as an owner, I recognize that I assumed a massive responsibility for which I was not prepared. However, adversity has a way of inspiring change, and has compelled me to pinpoint areas that needed attention and initiate crucial transformations.

The business, as I discovered, lacked essential elements such as structure, culture, and leadership. Throughout the past year, my focus has been unwaveringly directed toward refining these aspects. I am pleased to share that I have managed to establish a robust foundation for each, although I acknowledge there is ongoing work in these areas. At the very least, I now have a clearer direction for the future.

My aspiration for your experience at Pure Salon is to offer a space of relaxed luxury—a beautiful space where you can feel warmly welcomed without the overwhelm of busy surroundings. It’s a place where your voice is heard, your needs are understood, and you leave feeling not only cared for but, most importantly, beautiful.

“My scalp is oily so I wash every day”
“The ends of my hair feel so dry”

I’m about to give you 4 steps to solving the above hair challenges. Ready? 👇🏻

1) Wash your hair 3X a week or less.
2) Use a shampoo and conditioner that caters to your hair’s texture and desired results
3) Find a dry shampoo that you love
4) Use a leave in conditioner and/or dry oil mid shaft to ends

Washing your hair every day CAUSES the above hair challenges!

When we overly wash our hair, we are stimulated our oil glands as well as stripping away our natural oils.

Spacing your shampoos apart will calm those glands and keep your mids and ends from drying out.

Replenish the moisture with a leave in and/or hair oil and spray a bit of dry shampoo at the root area.

And lastly, ask your hair care professional what shampoo and conditioner is best suited for your hair needs.
