Jehovah Nissi GIFTS

Lord, I long to do Your will at all times. Doing Your will is food for my mind, soul, and spirit that gives me strength and peace. I don’t ever want to be outside of Your perfect will for my life, so help me to always look to You for guidance and counsel. Lord Jesus, I know You did not seek Your own will on earth, but the will of Your Father who sent You (John 5:30). Enable me to fully submit my will to our heavenly Father as well. Lord, I pray You will always fill me with the knowledge of Your perfect will (Colossians 1:9).

I know there is a connection between living in Your perfect will and sensing Your presence in my life. I know You are everywhere, but the closeness of Your presence is only felt by those who draw close to You and seek to do Your will. Enable me to never sacrifice the closeness of Your presence because of wanting things my way instead of Yours. I know that in Your presence is restoration and transformation. Help me to totally submit my life to You.

Imagine if every time we opened our mouths we spoke words that were laced with healing, edification, encouragement, comfort, wisdom, love, and truth. That’s possible to do if we ask God to help us. It’s dangerous to speak whatever comes into your mind—unless what comes into your mind is good. If you have your mind fixed on good things, then the words of your mouth will reflect that.

Lord, help me be a person who speaks words that build up and not tear down. Help me to speak life into the situations and people around me, and not death. Fill my heart afresh each day with Your Holy Spirit so that Your love and goodness overflow from my heart and my mouth. Help me to speak only about things that are true, noble, just, pure, lovely, of good report, virtuous, and praiseworthy. “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my strength and my Redeemer” (Psalm 19:14). Keep my mouth from speaking any evil or anything that is not true. Holy Spirit of truth, guide me in all truth. Help me to “speak as the oracles of God” and with the ability You supply so that You may be glorified (1 Peter 4:11). May every word I speak reflect Your purity and love.

Lord, help me to see myself the way You see me. Thank You that You see me through Your eyes of love and all You created me to be. Enable me to open up my heart to receive Your love. Although it’s hard to comprehend a love so great, and I don’t feel worthy of it, I don’t want to ever shut myself off from the power of Your amazing love working in my heart. Teach me about the ways You love me that I’m not understanding. Give me eyes to see how You reveal Your love for me by keeping me from things that are not Your greatest good for my life. I know that everything You want to do in my life cannot be accomplished without Your love flowing in me.

Enable me to see my life from Your perspective. Instead of looking through a magnifying lens to see the flaws in myself, help me to see through the magnifying lens of Your loving heart to observe the good—and potential for greatness—You have put in me. May Your presence be magnified in my life beyond what I can even imagine now. Cause Your perfection, beauty, love, and holiness to be reflected in me at all times.

Lord, grow me up in Your ways and lead me in Your will. Help me to become so strong in You that I will not waver or doubt. Make me to understand Your Word and Your directions to me. “Test me, O Lord, and try me, examine my heart and my mind; for your love is ever before me and I walk continually in your truth” (Psalm 26:2-3 NIV). I want to pass successfully through any time of testing You bring me to so that I might be refined. I don’t want to wander around in the wilderness, going over and over the same territory because I haven’t learned the lesson. I pray that I will always have a teachable heart that recognizes Your hand in my life and soaks up Your instruction. Help me to trust Your timing. Establish in me an unwavering faith so I will know that when I walk with You, even the refining fire provides the perfect light for the step I’m on.

The greatest gift we have is the presence of God. It changes everything in our lives. It changes our heart, mind, attitude, and even our circumstances. That’s because it is not possible to be in the presence of God and not experience positive change. The reason for that is we become like what we worship (Psalm 115:4-8). The more we worship God, the more we become like Him.

In order to find freedom, wholeness, and true success in life, we must become more like the Lord. And that means spending time in His presence by making praise and worship a way of life.

Lord, I pray for good relationships with parents, siblings, and other family members. Bless these relationships with deep love, great compassion, mutual understanding, and good communication. Where there are breeches or rough spots in any one of those relationships, I pray that You would bring peace, healing, and reconciliation. I pray that the enemy will not be able to break apart any family relationships or friendships.
