Evergreen Skin Studio

10111 E 21st Street N Ste 403, Wichita Skin Care Service

20+ years in the treatment room. Holistic skin strategies. Expert brows. Coaching aestheticians to build aligned, thriving businesses-inside and out.

I first decided to become an aesthetician for one reason:
I had bad skin. That was in 2005…

I struggled with acne, hyperpigmentation, redness and very reactive skin. I learned along the way that there is a whole lot more to having healthy skin than just buying the right moisturizer or serum. Once I started taking care of my skin from the inside as well as the outside, things really started to change for the better. The best part, is the results are sustainable, they don’t go away! I studied over 100 different dietary theories at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in 2013 to become an IIN® Health Coach and in 2020 became a Certified Nutritional Aesthetics® Provider to further incorporate holistic elements into my aesthetic practice. I enjoy educating clients on all things skin and I’ve since added blogging about clean beauty and skincare as part of my professional offerings. In my down time you’ll find me hanging out with my family and dogs, watching movies, doing crafty stuff, reading, cooking and gardening!

Here’s the good news: you don’t have to know.

You don’t need to determine whether your skin needs ultrasound, microcurrent, nano infusion, LED, enzymes or something else before you make an appointment.

That’s my job.

We’ll talk about what’s bothering you, what you’re currently using, what you’ve tried before and what you’d like to improve.

Then I’ll customize the treatment based on what I see and what your skin needs that day.

If you’ve been watching from the sidelines because you don’t know where to begin, start with the Evergreen Facial.

We’ll take it from there. 🤍

There’s more to exfoliation than just booking a peel! ✨

From gentle enzymes and nano infusion to lactic acid treatments and advanced resurfacing, there are many ways to achieve smoother, brighter, healthier-looking skin.

The key is choosing the right approach for your skin’s unique needs and goals.

At Evergreen Skin Studio, I prefer to work with your skin, not against it. Sometimes gentle is best, while other times a more targeted treatment is just what your skin needs.

🍂 Swipe through to explore three different approaches to exfoliation!

Because healthy skin isn’t about exfoliating more. It’s about exfoliating wisely. 🤎

Fall is often called “peel season,” but that doesn’t mean everyone needs a peel.

Exfoliation can do wonderful things for dullness, rough texture, clogged pores, uneven tone and the buildup of dead skin cells.

But there’s a big difference between needing exfoliation and needing aggressive exfoliation.

For one person, I might choose gentle enzyme exfoliation during a facial.

For another, the Pumpkin Lactic Facial might be perfect.

And for someone wanting more corrective resurfacing, an RDS peel may make more sense.

The right choice depends on your skin, your goals, what you’re using at home and what your skin can comfortably handle.

The calendar tells me it’s fall.

Your skin tells me how I should treat it. 🍂

Hi, I’m Pam! 🌿

It’s been a while since I’ve properly introduced myself around here, so whether you’re new to Evergreen Skin Studio or you’ve been with me for years, welcome!

I’ve been a licensed esthetician since 2005, and after more than two decades in this industry, I can honestly say that my passion for skin health has only grown.

Over the years, my approach to skincare has evolved. I’ve learned that healthy skin isn’t about chasing every new trend, using the strongest products, or trying to turn back the clock.

It’s about understanding your skin, respecting its natural functions, and giving it what it needs to thrive.

My approach combines thoughtful, customized treatments with a focus on skin barrier health, nutrition, lifestyle, and realistic home care. I believe that what we do for our skin is just as important as what we put on it.

After many years of owning and operating a larger spa, I created Evergreen Skin Studio to return to what I love most: working one-on-one with clients, building meaningful relationships, and helping people feel comfortable and confident in their skin.

The name Evergreen was chosen intentionally. To me, it represents growth, resilience, and the idea that we can continue to thrive and evolve at every stage of life.

And that’s exactly how I approach skincare. Not anti-aging, but healthy aging. Not perfection, but progress.

I’m so glad you’re here, and I look forward to sharing more about skin health, treatments, and the little things we can do every day to care for ourselves.

💚 Pam

If you’ve reached your 40s or 50s and suddenly feel like you don’t recognize your own skin anymore, you’re not imagining it.

The hormonal changes surrounding menopause can affect much more than how dry your skin feels.

Skin can become thinner and less resilient. Collagen production declines. It may hold onto moisture differently, become more reactive and take longer to recover.

And products or routines you’ve used successfully for years may suddenly not seem to work the same way.

That doesn’t mean you need ten new products or the most aggressive anti-aging treatment you can find.

It means your skin has changed and your approach may need to change with it.

I recently wrote more about menopause and skin changes on the Evergreen blog. If you’re navigating this stage yourself, I think you’ll find it helpful. 🤍 (Link in bio)

Somewhere along the way, we started equating a strong reaction with a good skincare treatment.

Burning means it’s working.

Peeling means it’s working.

Redness means it’s working.

Except…not necessarily.

There are absolutely times when stronger exfoliation and corrective treatments make sense. I offer them myself.

But the goal isn’t to see how much your skin can tolerate.

The goal is healthier, better-functioning skin.

Sometimes getting there requires doing more. Sometimes it requires doing less.

Knowing the difference is one of the most important parts of what I do.

Maybe not every problem, but you’d be surprised 😎

When someone comes to me with acne, my first instinct isn’t necessarily to exfoliate more.

Sometimes it’s actually the opposite.

In Ashley’s case, her skin had already been through aggressive acne treatments and her barrier needed support.

So instead of continually trying to “dry up” or exfoliate away the problem, we focused on creating an environment where her skin could function better.

That meant looking at the whole picture: her barrier, inflammation, hydration, home care and how her skin responded from one appointment to the next.

Did we still use treatments designed to improve acne, texture and post-breakout marks? Absolutely.

But we earned the right to do more by first getting her skin into a healthier place.

That’s a big part of how I approach problem-solving at Evergreen: I treat the skin that’s actually in front of me, not just the condition written on the intake form

This is Ashley. And there’s much more to these photos than a before and after.

When we started working together, her skin was dealing with acne—but it was also dealing with the aftermath of trying to treat that acne aggressively.

That distinction mattered.

Instead of looking at her skin and simply asking, “How do we get rid of the breakouts?” I wanted to know what her skin had been through, what she was using at home, how it responded to treatment and what might be keeping it stuck in a cycle of inflammation.

Over time, we changed the way we approached her skin.

And I asked Ashley to share some of her experience in her own words because I think her perspective is just as important as mine.

Swipe through to read what she had to say. 🤍

Individual results vary, and every acne journey is different.
