Jessica’s story - I didn’t grow up with this level of acne. I got the occasional hormonal monthly breakout.
My skin flared up liked this 3 months after finishing esthetician school- makes total sense looking back - I went through a major tragedy, Moved cities, went back to school for esthetics, changed careers and started massage school all back to back. My nervous system was so out of wack.
I also needed to be mindful of what I was putting into my body- not just what I was putting on my skin. This is a key 🔑 thing to keep in mind.
As an esthetician I can’t guide you on what to ingest but we can suggest you ask questions with your other providers with the proper credentials.
My particular treatment was done without accutane, antibiotics or other prescription medications. (My choice) I wanted to test my own knowledge and skill to clearing my skin.
NOTE* There is nothing wrong with using or not using prescriptions. There are many routes to clear skin and I encourage everyone to try the solutions that feel right for you. It doesn’t have to be 1 versus the other, it can be team effort and strategy from all spectrums of care.🧠💭
Here’s my point- acne is not one size fits all AND most of the time at this level it’s not just 1 cause.
Take it from someone who’s been through it and now helps others manage their skin - this level of acne takes CONSISTENCY, patience and the right treatments/ products.
