There’s something we need to talk about as a whole in the beauty industry.
Somewhere along the way, it became acceptable to publicly criticize, belittle, and disrespect service providers and business owners simply because someone disagrees with a decision.
As salon owners, we have a responsibility not only to our clients, but also to protect the wellbeing of our employees and create a positive environment for everyone.
We welcome feedback, concerns, and honest conversations. But there is a difference between expressing disappointment and treating someone with disrespect.
Being a paying client does not give anyone permission to mistreat another human being.
Behind every business is a person. Behind every service is a professional. And behind every difficult decision is often a story you may not fully know.
Kindness goes both ways. Respect should never be optional.
