🔮 If you've missed all the memos elsewhere, I am DESPERATELY trying to get back behind the chair. I've been having the worst time trying to get things to crosspost from Instagram and I just realize I've been totally neglecting all my Facebook folks! Here's the full scoop:
😥 I closed at the end of 2025 to take a full time (40 hours/5 day a week) job and VERY quickly discovered that there was something massively wrong. At first I thought I just needed time to adjust but things continued to be an immense struggle every day -- so much so that I ended up being diagnosed with ADHD and Level I Autism Spectrum Disorder. I discovered that I am, in fact, significantly disabled and that my self-employment (that is, all of YOU) were a huge part of what had allowed me to function all these years. With that gone, I fell apart.
🙏🏻 With a greater appreciation than ever for this work, I am trying to come back but FIRST I need to prove I can still financially support myself here. So right now my schedule for the month of September 2026 is OPEN! I am trying to fill 100 hours of butts-in-chair-time to ensure I can safely re-open and at this moment I am 92% to that goal. At 95% I will put in my notice at this job and I will finally have a light at the end of this tunnel of torture.

🤞🏻 I'm only 3% away from being able to put in my notice at this job. My husband said to me as I was leaving for work this morning, "I want my bright, vibrant wife back. You've been dim for too long." And I almost lost it right there. I'm not sure if you all would recognize the version of me I am without all of you. 😓

Dye My Hair with Me 🔥✌🏻🧡 A big part of my autism is feeling like the outside of me matches how I feel inside, which, for me is delightfully quirky and weird. (If I do say so myself. 💅🏻) And two days ago I ran into one of my favorite clients (.savage) who helped remind me of who that person is and reminded me to continue doing things I love and remember who TF I am. So, I dyed my hair, as one does.
Incidentally I had plans to go to the Renn Faire today so timing was spot on. Since I rarely make videos like this AND I've been letting my weird out even more than ever in an attempt to more fully unmask, I worked hard on making this as fun and silly as possible so I hope it doesn't flop. 🤞🏻
To be clear, I'm still struggling but getting unsolicited advice just makes the emotional weight worst. I also don't want to be perpetually negative here and only share the same vent over and over again.
If you've read this far, here's a little reminder of a few things NOT to say to a neurodivergent person who has disclosed their diagnosis to you:
⭐"But you seem so normal?!"
⭐"Oh EVERYONE experiences that..." (referring to overstimulation, anxiety, etc. I promise you it is MUCH worse for us)
⭐ "You should XYZ." (as if (1) I haven't already considered every option and (2) ADHD immediately makes me violently repulsed by whatever you tell me I "should" do.)
