Some things they won’t tell you getting in the game:

It’s hard getting a home daily job fresh out of school, they want 6 months to a year experience on the road first. It took me 5 months to find a home daily job. When you find one you’ll probably have to load and unload your trailer at each stop.

You probably won’t start out making 6 figures.

Play podcast and music sometimes, all that thinking will eat you up.

You’ll be working 12-14 hour days until you can find or get enough experience for better opportunities.

Even though you’re home everyday you’ll have little energy to do most things. Meal prep, plan your responsibilities and workouts well.

Stay away from toxic relationships and friendships. I used to be driving through the mountains arguing in the truck.

Do not play around with those drug tests ever. Dot test are sensitive and not regular drug tests.

Learn how to back up in any space or setting, people will mess you up on purpose.

Never switch lanes in a curve.

Find you some phone buddies for when you get sleepy.

Stay active and workout 5X a week. All that sitting affects your blood flow.

Take fruit and light snacks.

Get comfy squatting btw your wheels or trailer because a lot of places aren’t women friendly. 😭🤣

Just a young woman in her late 20 something’s trying to live life to the fullest while driving trucks full time and running shop doing hair still. Weekends go by too fast.
