Wise words from my awesome (rockstar, as my son Daniel calls her 🌟) friend, . This is from her book , The Art of Being.

Last night Christina was gracious enough to share some of her wisdom and confidence during a team call.

Here are just some of the things that stuck with me:

What a shame to let others create you. You are the only one that can create you. You get to decide who you are, how you are when you are anything in your life. So whether that’s as an entrepreneur, a mom, a friend — how you choose to shine from the inside out is up to you.

No one cares about you. Sounds harsh, but it is actually freeing, empowering and true. Everyone is worrying about themselves, so worry about yourself, too and stop letting the fear of what others may think of you hold you back.

You shouldn’t try to be like anyone but yourself. You are already authentically and beautifully you. Why would you want to try and be anyone else anyway?

Show up for yourself.
Feel the joy in every part of your life and let that motivate you.
Every day is a new day to start over, and do something that moves you forward.

These are all things so eloquently put by a friend that I think we can all begin to tell ourselves every day.

So no matter what your goals are, big or small — use these words as a confidence boost for yourself. You are deserving of those positive affirmations. You are deserving of success. You are worthy.

We’ve all been there, trust me.

Glasses. 🤓 Reading glasses, blue-light glasses, all of the above. Between puzzles, hours of screen time and more, I’m finally embracing these.

Self-care. Some time to give myself a mani-pedi. I love this safer beauty brand Cote for nail polish. It’s fairly long wearing and the colors are pretty high shine and vibrant.

Sharing. 💌 Yep, sending samples and spreading the love truly makes me feel happy and well. Sending samples for girls night in, hosting a virtual pop up, or scheduling holiday shopping experiences for busy Moms or teachers — it’s all a way to share and spread the love of clean beauty.

Reading a good book. 📖 There’s nothing better than curling up with a story that whisks your troubles away. I’ve always been an avid reader and I’m happy that my boys also have the book bug. What should I be reading right now?

A skin routine. Carving out those few minutes at night and in the morning is a form of wellness and self care. In the time where all routines have seemingly gone with the wind, it’s nice that a few minutes at my bathroom sink can make me feel so normal. Highlights are my jade roller, my Overnight Resurfacing Peel and in the morning, my All Bright C Serum.

Voting with my dollars. Shopping 🛍 through subscription services like ’s or Causebox allows me to support companies that care about the earth and their customers. They are socially and ethically responsible companies, who vet their products so that I know each item coming into my home was responsibly sourced and supports each and every hand that has touched my curated items.

A good morning workout. It’s not always easy. And I don’t always want to. But I have to remind myself to get it in, because after I do I always feel so great and filled with endorphins.

Thanks to everyone for the sweet messages. Another trip around the sun. This birthday certainly looks a little different than maybe I thought it would, but it’s special in its own way.

For example — I got to spend the day watching inspiring virtual Beautycounter messages. Plus I got to hang out with two lovely ladies from my amazing tribe. Feeling so grateful.

On the docket for tonight is gourmet pizza with my favorite guys, and then heading to the lake for the weekend. And just wait until I tell you the story about what Scott and the boys got me for my birthday! 😳😂😍

To those that are a voice in this movement, I’m so glad you’re here. It’s always an exciting birthday when it’s wrapped in with this awesome beauty business.

School is officially in session! Our ‘First Day of School’ photos look a little different this year, but look how grow these guys are! It’s hard to believe how fast the years are flying by.

Luke and Daniel have been doing such a great job trying to adjust to all of the change this year. There are certainly lots of changes and challenges this year, especially for Mom & Dad. 😳

As we all try to navigate this new (temporary!) normal, it’s been a challenge to make sure we’re helping the boys through their school day while also working full time — and that’s with two parents at home who can tag team!

So for all of the Moms and parents out there who are figuring it out, trying their best, and making it through — let’s give ourselves some grace this week. Let’s take each day one at a time with our littles while we figure it out together. It’s a little different for everyone right now, and doing our best is the best we can do.

And also, teachers are heroes. Seriously. I’m grateful for the teachers that are forgiving of us as we all try and get it together!
