Why I Chose to Become a Permanent Makeup Artist 15 Years Ago

I didn’t choose PMU just as a job — I chose it because I wanted to change how women feel about themselves.

From the very beginning, I believed beauty should be natural, effortless, and confidence-enhancing — never heavy or overdone.

Fifteen years later, that purpose hasn’t changed. If anything, it has grown stronger with every client I’ve worked with.

Today, I’m still here doing what I love most — helping women wake up feeling confident, beautiful, and like the best version of themselves

PMU Brow Aftercare Instructions:
1. Cleanse Gently:
Gently clean the area with a mild, fragrance-free soap and water twice on the day of your treatment and once on the following day. Avoid rubbing or scrubbing the area; instead, pat it dry with a clean towel.
2. Ointment Application:
Begin applying the ointment on the evening of the day after your treatment. Continue applying it twice daily for 7 days. Avoid using any products that contain alcohol, fragrances, or other irritants.
3. Sun Exposure:
Avoid direct sunlight, tanning beds, and other sources of UV radiation, as these can cause fading and other complications. When outdoors, wear a hat and/or sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher.
4. Avoid Touching or Picking:
Refrain from touching or picking at the treated area to prevent scarring or other complications. Allow the healing process to take its natural course.
5. Water Exposure:
Avoid swimming, saunas, and hot tubs for at least two weeks after the procedure, as immersing the area in water can soften scabs and cause the pigment to fade.
6. Sweating:
Avoid heavy sweating for 7 days after the session. This includes limiting strenuous exercise that may cause excessive perspiration.
7. Be Patient:
Understand that the healing process can take several weeks. The final result may not be visible until after any recommended touch-up appointments. Following these instructions will help ensure the best possible outcome.
8. Avoid Makeup and Skincare on the Treated Area:
For at least the first 48 hours, do not apply makeup, lotions, or other skincare products to your brows to prevent irritation or infection. When you resume your routine, choose gentle, non-irritating products.
9. Sleep Considerations:
Try to sleep on your back to prevent accidental rubbing or pressure on your brows. If you normally sleep on your side, use a clean pillowcase and be mindful of your sleeping position.
10. Avoid Direct Heat:
In addition to avoiding saunas and hot tubs, steer clear of hot showers and steam rooms. Excessive heat can interfere with the healing process.
