CEO Headshots. It's an art and science to strike the right balance of not doing too much and not doing enough. You want to look professional and put together but not like you're going to a formal event.
I always ask clients what makes them feel confident and then go from there. Voila! The smile says it all

Shhh. 🤫
Over the last 6 months the cold weather + an increased travel schedule has done a number on my skin!
My skin is normally combination oily but this winter it's became more dry. So I'm trying out a few new products to add that moisture and hydration back into my skin.
I'll let you know how it goes.
Let me know what new products you've added to your routine.

Do you want to know what my go to approach is when working with a client that barely wears makeup but wants to "look nice at an event?" I'll tell you.
When clients sit down, I always ask:
1) Do you normally wears makeup up and if so, what's your routine look?
2) What look are we going for today?
For my barely wear makeup women, these answer is Vaseline or neutral lip gloss, mascara, and a light powder or tinted moisturizer. So on special occasions they want a bit more but dont want to be overwhelmed.
9 times out of 10 I recommend my Focus Feature approach. I ask the client to pick one feature they wanna play up - eyes, lips, or skin. This helps me to know where to focus my time and application as well as helps the client feel comfortable that the makeup will not be "too much"
So we played up her eyes, kept the skin and lips natural with neutral colors. And it was beautiful!
What's your favorite feature to play up?

As a makeup artist, these are my favorite makeup removers/cleansers. No matter the makeup, these break it ALL down.
Japanese cleansing oil is a remover and cleanser in one. I love how it lathers up helping to breakdown the makeup without stripping my skin.
Cleansing balm just melts away all the setting and fixing sprays I used during the day and slides off.
an oldie but goody. Great at breaking down even the toughest of waterproof eye products. Dip with a q-tip to help get that stubborn lash glue off
Micellar water is quick and easy. I use it when I'm applying makeup, for quick fixes, and at the end of the night to take off stubborn lip and eye products.
Have you tried any of these? Let me know your favorite cleansers in the comments.

Is color in or are we still doing clean girl n**e lip esthetic? Because I personally love a good red or berry lip color in the colder months while keeping the skin simple. What about you?
