That 7 strand braid was a tough one. Go ahead and watch me try, mess up, retry and then kind of figure it out at the end 😂
Here’s a nice real-time video on how to start a 5 strand braid.

Once I get the 5 strands started, you can see the natural separation of two sections on the left, and 3 sections on the right. The side with 3 sections will always be where your mobile piece is. I separate out the mobile piece and keep the 4 other sections organized in my fingers. The mobile piece goes under, then over, and then becomes the 3rd piece on the left side.

I nominate my hair BFF ! We met at the 4 day boot camp last fall and became fast friends. We worked together on the first day, and I was in awe of her talent! It was so cool to hear all of the classes she has taken to hone her craft over the years. This girl means business!! We haven’t seen eachother since last fall when we met! It would be so cool if we could reunite again (I’m in Ohio, she’s in Texas) at a class put on by !!!

I got to braid on a human today!!! So exciting!! This is session 3 of “Operation no more red haircolor”. It’s coming along nicely. I always say, enjoy the journey every step of the way!
