Hellooooo! Wanted to share a common misconception that has been coming up quite frequently with my clients lately.

Hydrating and moisturizing products are different from the other. They do not serve the same purpose.

💧Hydrating ingredients add water to the skin, as well as help to trap the water within.

Moisturizing products help the skin by decreasing water loss and adding much needed moisture.

Essentially, dehydrated skin lacks water and needs to be hydrated with hydrating products, while dry skin lacks oil and needs to be moisturized with moisturizing products. 💧
