Marian Central Catholic High School
Established in 1959, Marian Central is a Roman Catholic Diocesan co-educational college-preparatory high school welcoming all students.
Established in 1959, Marian Central is a Roman Catholic Diocesan Co-educational College Preparatory High School. Marian Central offers a Catholic/Christian faith community where students are encouraged to grow intellectually and spiritually as they interact with each other, the church, and society. Our curriculum challenges all students, fosters academic excellence, encourages the development of critical thinking skills, promotes physical wellness, and leads to a commitment to life-long learning within a caring and moral educational environment. We prepare our students to be responsible citizens in society as well as active participants in the church and in the world. Most importantly, at Marian Central, we guide our students in character development and the establishment of ethical standards through the application of Catholic principles and the teaching mission of the Church. Check out our website for more information and "Fast Facts" about our beloved school!

Building future leaders starts with lifting one another up!
We loved the opportunity to spend time with the 6th grade leaders at Saints Peter & Paul Catholic School - Cary, IL today, sharing the importance of kindness, encouragement, and celebrating one another’s successes.
Strong leaders celebrate others’ successes!
Today, Kaitlyn Bordeaux from Marian Central spoke with our 6th grade leadership class about being a supporter of others.
Using a shoebox analogy, she reminded students that we never know what someone else may be going through. Her message: be kind, build each other up, and celebrate one another’s successes.

One Faith. One Mission. One Family.
Today, our Marian Central Catholic faculty and staff joined Catholic school educators from across the Diocese of Rockford for our annual Diocesan Schools Professional Development Day!
Together, we celebrated Mass, engaged in professional development and collaborated with fellow educators, united by our shared commitment to Catholic education.
We were especially proud to welcome Rev. John McFadden ’13, a Marian Central Catholic alumnus, as one of today’s keynote speakers! What a wonderful reminder of the lasting impact of Catholic education and the many ways our alumni continue to live out their faith and serve others.
Thank you to the Catholic Education Office - Diocese of Rockford for bringing us together and to Aurora Central Catholic High School for being such wonderful hosts!
As Catholic educators, we are always learning, growing, and strengthening our ability to educate, inspire and form the next generation of faithful leaders.
One Faith. One Mission. One Family.
Congratulations to Miranda and Jordan for qualifying for STATE in girls golf!

We’re opening the Marian yearbooks again for another look back at Homecoming through the years. Next up: the Homecoming Parade!
From building class floats to riding through the streets of Woodstock, the Homecoming Parade has brought generations of Hurricanes together through the years. And judging by these archives, Marian students—and parents!—have never been short on creativity.
As we prepare for this year’s Homecoming Parade on Friday, October 2 at 3:30 PM around the Woodstock Square, we’re taking a look back at some of the floats, faces and memories that came before us.
Alumni — do you recognize any of these Homecomings? Tag a familiar face or share your favorite Marian Homecoming Parade memory!

What a blessing it was to welcome more than 120 grandparents to Marian for our annual Grandparents’ Mass!
Our students had the opportunity to celebrate Mass alongside their grandparents before spending time together enjoying refreshments and sharing a little of their Marian experience with them.
Days like this are a beautiful reminder that the Marian community extends far beyond our students and our halls—it includes the families and generations who love, support and pray for them along the way.
Thank you to all of the grandparents who joined us and made this such a special morning!

Future Hurricanes under the lights!
We loved welcoming students from our area Catholic schools to George Harding Field for Spotlight on Catholic Schools Night! From cheering on the Hurricanes to taking the field at halftime, it was a fun night celebrating our Catholic school community.
Even our Catholic school priests got in on the action! Four priests from our Catholic school community joined us at midfield for the coin toss, with Fr. Bob doing the honors — and winning the toss! Later, Marian’s Fr. Patrick took on our future Hurricanes in a race across the field… complete with a backflip along the way.
Thank you to all of the students and families who joined us! We loved having you at Marian and hope to see you back on campus soon.
