I don’t just eat foods because they’re “healthy.” I eat them because they serve a purpose.

After strength training this morning, this was my first stop:

🍉 Watermelon
🍌 Banana
🌱 Chia seeds

Watermelon is one of my favorite post-workout foods in the summer because it’s mostly water, so it’s a great way to start rehydrating after sweating. It also has vitamin C and antioxidants that support recovery.

The banana gives me carbs to refill my energy and potassium to help support my muscles after a workout.

And the chia seeds are a new obsession! They’re tiny, but they pack a punch. Just one tablespoon adds about 5 grams of fiber, which helps keep me full and supports gut health.

This wasn’t my whole breakfast. I followed it up with eggs and cottage cheese for protein because building muscle takes more than just lifting weights.

Food isn’t just about calories. It’s fuel to FEEL good! The more you understand what different foods do for your body, the easier healthy eating becomes.
