I used to think persistence meant knocking on the same door until someone answered.
Now I know wisdom is recognizing when God is telling you to walk away.

For 4 years, I tried to get my foot in the
door in my own town.
The emails were sent.
The follow-ups were done.
The effort was there.
The opportunity? Never came.
I used to wonder what I was doing wrong.
Now I realize I was asking the wrong people for permission.
God was never going to let my purpose be limited by someone’s response to an email.
The next 4 months are about showing up, taking up space, and embracing every opportunity placed in front of me.

And the fact that I get to walk this journey with my daughter makes it even more special. We may disagree on a lot, but one thing is certain - when it comes to business, she stands ten toes down for me.

Folded 100 boxes
Sent out 66 orders
Made 300 lip balms
Manufactured 50 body oils, 50 beard oils & balms
Prepared 2 exhibitions
Exhibited at my first trade show at CTICC
Secured 3 collaborations
Applied for funding twice
Employed 2 people part-time
Created content every single day
Officially started working with a social media company to manage our platforms for the next 4 months - a milestone that took a full year of trust building.
I’ll be supporting 3 other businesses over the next few months.
Followed up with all the incredible contacts I made at The Good Life Show.

And I’ve done all of this while being sick for 6 days.

Some days I feel like I’m not doing enough, but when I look back, I realize I’ve moved mountains with what I had.
Entrepreneurship isn’t glamorous every day. It’s showing up when you’re tired, uncertain, and overwhelmed.
Today, I’m choosing to be proud of myself. Not because I’ve arrived, but because I refused to quit. 🤍🙏
