Face Wash gently nourishes as it lifts make-up
and impurities. It can safely be used around the eye area, conditioning lashes and brows in the process. When rinsed off with warm water, the creamy lather dissolves impurities. Rich in essential fatty acids and antioxidants, it's natural anti-bacterial properties help to heal and prevent breakouts.

SkinFood Apothecary is the fullest expression of me. My heart shows up in every aspect of our brand. I don't identify with being a "BRAND owner," but rather an artistic, detailed, and creative- with streaks of flower-petal-fairy and mad scientist woven throughout my existence 🌟

Our creations and my formulation style doesn't have to be for everyone, and I am more Ok with that today then I have ever been. When I first started Skinfood, my little brand was a brave and bold underdog. I was someone who wanted to make organic skincare - 'whole plant skin care’…something that I had never seen in the spa industry before (with the exception of an occasional facial oil or hydrosol).
I faced constant hurdles trying to explain our usage, our ingredient choices, our earthy scents, and atypical product colors to spas anestheticians. I still face these same hurdles today. While our brand isn't what many would consider an underdog any longer, organic skincare still is. This industry niche is still an almost non-existent percentage of the beauty world, just as it was when I began. There are other natural skincare lines out there, but together we are still very small by comparison. It has been interesting to observe the green beauty industry grow. It seems to be trending back now towards the use of synthetics and neutralizing terms like toxins, carcinogens, and endocrine disruptors. Luckily, I don't care about trends. I don't answer to consumer markets, or a bottom line- I answer to the creative expressions of my own HEART. If our formulas resonate with you, then YAY!! That is a huge gift for me! Standing firm in one's own truth despite constantly changing winds has been one of my greatest challenges and one of my most rewarding gifts🌟
