What a day we had yesterday!! Nandi and I were up at 3.30 on a flight to Durban. We arrived at our revamped La Lucia store at 8.30 to a flurry of activity. Signage people, electricians, couriers dropping off tons of stock and our fabulous in-store team, Verosa, Angel and Ropa feverishly unpacking and pricing. We got stuck in merchandising and we finished at 6! Oh my word, it's just lovely 😊❤

So we're opening as scheduled today!! 😊😊

Our Revitalizing Eye Cream is one of our very favourite products. If you have dark circles, puffiness and/or crow’s feet, using this eye cream as part of your daily beauty routine will help reduce the appearance of your under-eye concerns. But, whether you’re an eye cream beginner or a veteran, there’s a chance you could be making some common mistakes with how you use (or don’t use) this important skin care product.

#1. Less is most definitely more. Generally, a pea-sized amount of eye cream should be enough to cover the skin under both eyes. When it comes to our eye treatments and creams, a little definitely goes a long way! Dot a small amount all the way around the eye socket bone, above your eye brows and back round to where you started. Tap in gently with your ring finger to avoid unnecessary tugging/pulling. Allow to absorb.

#2. Apply to damp skin. This is a brilliant pro-tip that not enough people know: If you want to get the most out of your moisturiser, you should apply it onto damp skin. That’s because applying moisturiser to wet or damp skin can help lock in hydration, and the same rule can be applied to eye cream. So, before toweling off after using your facial cleanser, dab the cream onto the skin under your eyes while your face is still damp.

#3. An all too frequent misconception is that you should only start using eye cream once your skin starts to show signs of visible ageing. But really, there’s no reason to wait! Even if fine lines and wrinkles really aren’t your main concern (lucky you!), you should absolutely still be using an eye cream regularly in order to keep your under-eye skin hydrated.
