My Experience

I’ve always loved the art world and I’ve always been creative. Since I was very young I thought I would pursue a career in the fine arts as this was what I knew I had talent in, but near the end of High School there was an opportunity for me to do the make-up in my schools production of the musical CATS. My school granted me an award for my work in the musical and after that I started to look into a career in make-up. My first job was when I was only 17 years old and this was for a wedding. After finishing school I went for a make-up course at Make-up Your Mind in Durban, and I got my qualification there. I now work at a Kryolan retail store and do free lance make-up on the side, from which I have done work for Julie Laurenz and Terence Pillay for The History Channel. I also recently worked with Tsogo Sun to do make-up for new advertisements.
