If you’re going to be taking skin care seriously and working on building collagen (which is what my treatments do as different forms of Collagen Induction Therapy) these are 3 staples that need to be in your daily routine.
They work on: 1) protecting the skin barrier, 2) helping the body to build more collagen and 3) increasing hydration levels in the skin.
*I am not affiliated with any of these brands and am not suggesting them solely. If you have a particular brand that you know works well for your body then go with that.
OMEGA 3’s
1. Hydration and barrier function by reducing water loss (TEWL) and protecting skin from external aggressors such as pollution, UV rays and oxidative stress. The skin becomes more supple, better hydrated and less prone to dryness.
2. Anti-inflammatory properties beneficial to those prone to redness or sensitive skin and conditions such as eczema and psoriasis.
3. Key player in production of collagen.
Best taken at nighttime with a meal.
VITAMIN C POWDER
1. Highly effective antioxidant to neutralise free radicals that can cause damage to your skin from things such as UV exposure, pollutants and oxidative stress.
2. It is the building block of Collagen and strengthens existing collagen.
3. It helps in maintaining skin health by contributing to its strength, elasticity and hydration. This also helps in reducing the formation of fine lines and wrinkles and enhances radiance in the skin.
Best taken 30 minutes before or after food in the morning. Can also take again in the afternoon if your stomach isn’t sensitive.
FOOD GRADE GELATIN (my alternative to collagen supplements)
1. An anti inflammatory powerhouse which helps to improve the gut and builds Collagen.
2. Can help with sleep at nighttime. Better quality BEAUTY sleep.
3. Helps combat ageing, increases hydration, improves skin elasticity.
I mix mine with hot water and pomegranate juice.
Consistency is key!
Next week I’ll do one on foods I recommend.
I find this cheaper and more effective than collagen supplements
This is the foundation for my Deep RESET Facial. We’re working with one connected system here, vital in getting the result we want. Plus it feels amazing! IFYKYK 😊

My clients know how much I talk about these little home gems…
Having treatments with me will put the wheels in motion and build the foundations for increased collagen production, lymph flow, radiance and hydration to happen. I can wake the face up but if you really want to elevate your skincare routine - especially if you are concerned about fine lines and the skin quality and texture…queue these little nuggets.
1. Silicone Face Cups
This is a game changer in boosting radiance, hydration and moving lymph. I find this the most successful for lifting fine lines. Must be used with oil to help glide over the skin. All sets contain a large and small cup suitable for the face only. Also comes with a card to guide you on the 5 minute routine. R450
2. Gua Sha Stone
Traditional Chinese Medicine has used this for centuries to move Qi (energy). This really boosts radiance by bringing a lot of blood flow to the area. Also helps move lymph and can create a “lift” in certain areas. Helps release tension and stuck fascia and can create a sculpted look around the facial bones. Must also be used with oil. R225
3. Prickly Pear Seed Oil
This is my favourite oil to use. It is suitable for all skin types, no added essential oils and helps with inflammation. It’s also high in essential fatty acids. R320
4. Satin Pillowcase
This should be a staple for everyone! The benefits for hair and skin are huge. From a skin aspect, you’re avoiding fine lines being created on your skin whilst sleeping. Satin doesn’t draw ,moisture from the skin as cotton does and also doesn’t harbour bacteria so less break outs. I can see with clients which side they are sleeping on due to the line formation from the skin being pulled or squished. A slippery surface such as satin prevents this from happening. R225
Best done 2-3x per week for real results - consistency is the key.
Let me know via WA 061 501 9440 if you’re interested in purchasing any of these to add onto your daily routine. I can also ship nationwide for R100 via pudo.
Next week I will follow on with best supplements and foods for your skin!

As we know, Botox is used as a paralysis in order to stop repetitive movement in facial muscles that cause wrinkles. It is generally advised to have little breaks every now and then instead of repetitive sessions as soon as it’s been metabolised and worn off. This is then the perfect time for Cosmetic Acupuncture to enter the equation for a few weeks/ month.
Botox use over time can cause muscle atrophy where those muscles become weaker and weaker. This can also signal other muscles to compensate and so more wrinkles are made and more Botox needed. It can also affect the skin making it thinner. In Traditional Chinese Medicine we also view it as blocking the Qi flow to and around those muscles.
Cosmetic Acupuncture increases flow of Qi and movement of blood and lymph to create radiance to the skin and essentially “waking the face up”.
Overly tight muscles can also be needles into to create a softening while other areas can be stimulated to create a tightening.
It is important that 4 weeks has passed since your last Botox session before Acupuncture.
If you’d like to chat about this, lease DM me or WA 061 501 9440 for more info.
