Gauva the Giraffe’s first night in Sodwana was an absolute comedy special. We kicked things off at “The Tree” for some South African rugby glory — and yes, we won! Gauva may have looked a little overwhelmed by the crowd, the cheers, and possibly the emotional intensity of elite-level sport, but he handled it with neck-level grace.

After that, we rounded off the day with a bonfire and some good old “hope and life speak” — the perfect mix of flames, feels, and future plans. A phenomenal day all around. We’re tired, happy, and officially ready for whatever tomorrow throws at us! 🦒🔥🏉

🦒🌊 **Guava has arrived in Sodwana!** 🌊🦒

Our fearless giraffe mascot, **Guava**, has officially made it to **Sodwana** and wasted absolutely no time getting stuck in. He practically **trotted off the vehicle and straight into dive mode** — because why simply arrive when you can arrive with purpose?

First stop:
Straight to getting his dive gear booked in, completing his indemnity, and booking dives like the absolute legend he is. Clearly, Guava believes in being prepared for adventure… even if he is still a giraffe and very much not built for standard snorkel fitting.

A true fearless giraffe indeed! 🐾🐠

A huge thank you to and Greg and staff** for welcoming Guava with open arms and making him feel right at home. Honestly, not everyone is ready to receive a giraffe mascot with diving ambitions, but you 3 handled it like pros.

Guava says thank you… and he promises not to leave too much seaweed in the gear room.

**Morning mission with Guava the giraffe 🦒⛽**

Today started with a very important operation: **petrol pick-up duty**.Before we set off for

Guava, our noble giraffe mascot, was on hand early doors to help with the mission. First job: collect Esme.
Second job: sort the navigation.
Third job: look absolutely majestic while pretending this was all completely normal.

Guava, ever the team player, kindly offered to **pay in green leaves** — which, in fairness, is very on-brand for a giraffe. Unfortunately, the garage didn’t quite accept “fresh foliage” as a payment method, so after a bit of back-and-forth, we had to do what all modern adventurers eventually do…

**Swipe the card and hope for the best.** 💳

Not quite the safari-style checkout we imagined, but we got there in the end.

Big thanks to Guava for the enthusiasm, the support, and the unwavering commitment to teamwork — even if his financial system is still a work in progress.

**10/10 effort. 2/10 payment method. 100/10 mascot energy.**
