After founding LABORATOIRES CONTAPHARM in 1980, SOYER partnered with the largest manufacturer of contact lenses to exclusively develop and produce an all-in-one hypoallergenic solution for soft and silicone hydrogel contact lenses.

At an ophthalmology congress, he was shocked to hear that makeup was not recommended for contact lens wearers. The very women who sought contact lenses as a solution to stop hiding their eyes, were now prevented from highlighting their eyes. Using his expertise in dermo-contactology, Mr SOYER was moved and inspired to create the first make-up brand formulated for contact lens wearers in 1984 - EYE CARE COSMETICS.
