I want to educate you - Not every pimple or red bump on your face should be popped.

1. When you have Acne or Breakouts and you just start popping every single bump on your skin, you are not making it better at all. You are actually causing really bad damage underneath and also scarring on the surface, which will take longer to heal or more advanced treatments and products to help it recover.

2. Popping a pimple that isn't ready pushes bacteria and infection deeper into the skin instead of out, which can turn one small bump into a bigger, more inflamed problem.

3. Squeezing too hard damages the surrounding tissue and blood vessels, which is often what causes those dark marks and red spots that stay on your skin long after the pimple is gone.

4. Not all bumps even have anything to extract & some are papules (raised, no fluid inside) or cysts sitting deep under the skin, so trying to pop them only irritates the area for nothing.

5. Every time you pick or squeeze, you increase your risk of permanent acne scarring: the kind that needs professional treatments, time, and money to try fix, when it could have healed on its own with the right care.

Next time before you just want to squeeze that big red scary pimple on your skin, remember the damage you are actually causing.
