Seeing it's a new year and all, I'd like to reveal that this business is my calling. Yep you read correctly, I never got any formal training for all that I do but I'm receiving creativity from God. I remember when I was starting up back in 2008 and had only learned how to do straight back for one day, I went to the Lord and prayed that he teach me ho to plait this thing. While I was sleeping I had a dream, on it I was learning to plait straight back. I just did two tries and the third time I got it, upon waking up that day I called my friend and plaited her hair. Amazingly it came out fine even though it took 4 hours and she got me clients because people wanted to know where she did it. Many other things I learned more or less the same way, faithful God.

Fast forward to today: I'm sitting doing introspection, it's just a matter of months for this business to turn 10yrs what did I learn in all this time? Many things but did I practice? Did I implement? Did I utilize? No, not all. Just now when I realize this business has come full circle, it prompt me to look back and I'm in awe.

I have learned that people (clients, friends, employees) are only loyal to themselves, they wouldn't bet an eyelid to throw you under the bus no matter how many discounts, free or best service you gave. Friends will rather pay someone else when they have money and come back to you when they broke. Employees will drop you like a hot potato no matter how good you treated them ( being friendly, let them get away with disrespectful behavior, absenteeism etc) for correcting them or you did something that didn't sit well with them disregarding all the good you ever did by one instance.

In all of this I have realized that I have shifted from the one who gave me this business, the same one who empowered me with skills that I would have paid lots of money for, the one who made sure I put bread on the table for my family. The one who never leave nor forsake me, the one who is faithful even when I have do no good to receive his favor.

I thank you God almighty for the grace of running this business even if not a million dollar empire, some only dream to be where I am. I promise to serve the clients that you give me without waiting for loyalty from them, I will use all the creativity you gave me to have them leave with a smile. I promise to use what I've learned in the past about people for caution not to chase everyone away. Although a couple of things are gonna change (nothing radical) that will be the direction you are choosing for this business in 2018 and I'm grateful.

We are sorry that we have not been posting any work done recently because the device used to take photos decided to bail on us and it's gone to be repaired. It is with great regret that we bid Nompumelelo Goodness Msiza farewell as she has moved on to start her solo career as a business owner (it's been 2 months now just was dreading to write this post). We at B's Elegant wish her luck and success in her venture, you left very big shoes to fill but we are trusting God moving forward. Let's play fair ne, no pouching of clients now 😜🤩😜

She's the last born in this family but hey it's like we've been together since the beginning. Not only does she compliments the business but she treats it as her own baby.
