I experienced last-minute cancellations myself and wasn’t able to refill those gaps. This post explains exactly why that impacts small salons so deeply. Please take a moment to read 🤍

Christmas cancellations are a killer.
And I know, life happens. Kids get sick, plans change, things come up.
But here’s the bit most clients never see…
December is the short month and the busiest month.
Salons are booked to their eyeballs, working overtime, squeezing people in, missing lunches, staying late, doing everything humanly possible to make sure you look incredible for Christmas.
So when someone cancels last minute or worse — no shows 💔
It hits way harder than you think.
It’s not just a gap in a calendar.
It’s a business owner stressing.
It’s someone already exhausted, now trying to refill a spot they can’t replace.
It’s revenue lost right before they close for two weeks.
Meaning no income and honestly… no breath left in their body.
Salons show up BIG for their clients at Christmas.
So as a coach who works with hundreds of them, I just want to say this on their behalf:
• If you can avoid cancelling, please avoid cancelling.
• If you need to reschedule, do it early.
• If you are asked for a deposit, please pay it.
• And if you love your beauty therapist, treat them with the same respect they show you… show up (even better with some chocolate or coffee).
Because those small choices?
They keep small businesses alive over Christmas.
