After the 'wash' part of washday comes the step where we moisturize and then style. A good wash day helps set our crowns up for either a good hair week or a bad hair week.

When moisturizing, you want to reach for products that will provide hydration and nutrition for your tresses, and to seal all that moisture in, so that your tresses can retain it for longer.

This is especially important now, with temperatures dropping lower. Type 4 hair in particular is prone to dryness and dry hair is more prone to breakage. So, just as with your skin in colder temperatures, you want to make sure to fight the dryness by moisturing and sealing.

In this session, we moisturized with my line of products:

° Essential Spray Mix
° Organic Leave-In Conditioner
° Essential Oil Mix
° Essential Butter Mix

Thereafter we detangled and followed up with a low manipulation style of mini twists. Low manipulation styles are great as they give us access to our hair and scalp, they are low tension styles and so don't contribute to hairline/ scalp damage.

Mini twists in particular are neat and provide a lot of versatility. If the twists are long enough, you can tie them up in different ways, or plait them together in different styles.

A good wash day is where your process of hydrating and moisturizing your hair begins. It is the cleansing of dirt and product residue from our tresses, the reintroduction of nutrition and the therapeutic healing of damage for our tresses and scalp.

This wash day, I clarified and followed up with a deep conditioning treatment. The wonderful thing about my deep conditioning formula is that it also has hydrolyzed protein and eyurvedic herbs to help strengthen your hair and so functions as a 2in1 as both a protein treatment and a deep conditioning treatment to ensure that your tresses achieve optimum health levels.

After washing and moisturizing, I did these mini twists and left my hair alone, before taking it down and following up with yet another low manipulation style.
