I don’t particularly enjoy asking people to vote for me, but I’m going to do it anyway because I’ve earned the right to be proud of what I’ve built.

I am, however, apparently quite good at accumulating an alarming number of unrelated skills in the pursuit of selling a lipstick online.

Over the years, I’ve somehow become an e-commerce manager, graphic designer, copywriter, photographer, content creator, website builder, marketing department, IT support desk and occasional courier investigator.

Some of it was because I wanted to build a beauty business that does things properly.

And some of it was because COVID closed my doors, and I had to find another way to earn an income.

So I figured it out.

Behind every product I sell and service I offer is the same belief: good products should produce good results. Expertise matters. Details matter. And people deserve to spend their money with someone who genuinely cares about the outcome.

But my favourite part of this business has never changed.

It’s the moment I turn the chair around.

That split second when someone looks in the mirror and her face changes. She smiles. She sits a little taller. And I can see that she doesn’t just like the makeup — she likes the woman looking back at her.

That moment has made every ridiculous new skill, late-night technical disaster and “why on earth is the website doing THAT?” worthwhile.

So, here comes the part I’m not very good at.

Makeup is architecture.

What changed here was not the woman — it was the structure. By lifting and elongating the eyes, refining the brows, and introducing sharper lines into naturally softer features, the entire face became more sculpted, defined, and powerful.
