Happy Mandela Day. We had the privilege of handing over our blanket and scarves to the incredible team at 67 Blankets.
What started as a goal of 67 crocheted squares grew into 134 squares, thanks to the kindness and generosity of our patients, family, friends and community.
Every square represented someone's time, effort and willingness to make a difference. Together, those individual contributions became something bigger - a blanket and scarves that will bring warmth to others.
Thank you to everyone who crocheted, shared the project, and supported us along the way. This is what Mandela Day is all about: turning small acts of kindness into meaningful impact. 🧶✨
Inspired by the spirit of Mandela Day and the incredible work of the 67 Blankets for Nelson Mandela Day movement, we invited our community to help us create something meaningful - one crocheted square at a time. 🧶🤍
Our goal was simple: collect 67 squares and transform them into a blanket and scarves that could bring warmth and comfort to those who need it most.
What happened next exceeded all expectations.
Instead of 67 squares, we received 134.
Together, those squares became:
✨ 1 large blanket
✨ 9 scarves
But more importantly, they became a symbol of kindness, generosity and community.
Thank you to every patient, family member, friend and team member who contributed. Every stitch helped turn a simple idea into something that will bring warmth long after Mandela Day has passed.

Applying oil or Vaseline directly to dry skin doesn’t help because they’re occlusives they seal in moisture but don’t add any. If your skin is dry, these products just sit on top and your skin stays tight. For best results: dampen your skin, apply a hydrating moisturizer, then layer oil or Vaseline to lock in the moisture. Remember: oils seal, they don’t hydrate!
A guide to hair loss improvement during treatment - stay patient and consistent, as visible results can take time. Don't give up too soon; progress often happens gradually.

🌍 World Skin Health Day | When most people think of dermatology, they think of skincare products. But dermatology is so much more than that.
From diagnosing skin conditions and investigating hair loss to treating diseases of the skin, hair and nails, our role is to help people understand, protect and care for their skin throughout every stage of life.
Education is a big part of that journey...especially for people with melanated skin, where access to specialist information and representation hasn't always been readily available.
Today, we celebrate healthy skin, greater awareness and the impact that knowledge can have on long-term skin health. 🤍
A dry, itchy scalp is easy to dismiss but persistent itching, flaking or irritation may be a sign of an underlying scalp condition.
Not every itchy scalp is “just dandruff.” Conditions such as seborrhoeic dermatitis, psoriasis, eczema and scalp inflammation can present with similar symptoms but require different treatment approaches.
If your scalp symptoms keep returning or aren’t improving, it’s worth having them assessed by a dermatologist.
Your scalp is skin too and it deserves the same attention and care.

Serum or moisturiser? The answer might be both. ✨ A serum targets specific skin concerns, while a moisturiser locks in hydration and protects your skin barrier. Together, they’re the perfect skincare duo.

There is no perfect age...it’s about your skin, your concerns, and your goals. For some, prevention starts in their late 20s or 30s, while others may choose to start later.
The best place to start is with a consultation to determine what’s right for you.
