Jesus paused the same question to the disciples “but what about you? Who do you say I am?”
Simon Peter answered, you are the Christ, the son of the living God.
Jesus replied, "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by man, but by my Father in heaven.

In the same chapter just a few verses Jesus turned and said to Peter, "Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men."

God chooses Saul to be king over Israel and he instructs the prophet Samuel to anoint him. But Saul goes on and disobed God, and God regretted that he had made Saul king over Israel.

The Spirit of the Lord left Saul and an evil spirit tormented, whilst he was still king over Israel.

"As we approach 2025, here are four potential hindrances and stagnation points to watch for."
God allowed the Israelites to wander in the wilderness for 40 years not only due to their disobedience but also to address these four issues, which can also hinder your progress in 2025.
1. Holding onto the past can be a significant obstacle to your progress.
The Israelites, whenever faced with challenges, would constantly reminisce about Egypt, despite it being their place of slavery. This displeased God, and ultimately, that generation was lost.
2"The people you surround yourself with have a significant impact on your life. This was a major drawback for the Israelites, as a certain influential group led them astray by creating a golden calf. This act of idol worship caused them to forget their God.
Be mindful of the people you allow into your inner circle, as their advice can influence your focus and distract you from your God-given purpose.".

3. "Mindset. How you perceive challenges significantly impacts your life, either positively or negatively.
The 12 spies sent to scout the land returned with differing reports. Ten brought back a negative assessment, causing chaos and murmuring among the Israelites. However, Joshua and Caleb remained optimistic, urging the people to 'go up and possess the land.'
Your approach to challenges directly determines your progress."
4. "A lack of trust in God can lead to a period of wandering and uncertainty, much like the Israelites' experience in the wilderness. Your journey with God is a process of spiritual growth, rediscovering your alignment with His will, and finding your true purpose. Therefore, the moment you cease to trust Him, you hinder your own progress.
Despite the numerous miracles God performed for the Israelites, they lost faith, which displeased Him."
