16 reasons and disadvantages why a massage session shouldn't be done on a couch/sofar/floor.
1. Posture
Every move you make should solely be done effortlessly without using a lot of pressure and energy. If that happens often that means you have been shraggimg your shoulders in thus arching your back like doing the cat pose in yoga, the pressure is always come from the wrist and should be soft, gentle and slightly firm
NB: Your back should be straight at all times whether you are squatting or stradding or even sitting.
That being said here is were the lesson starts.
Listed below disadvantages
2. Your movements will be abrupt hence causing you not to finish the session in a hurry and you end up forgetting most of the movements .
3. Increased sweating rate.
4. Leaning for support on your client.
5. Knealing for long periods caused more pain in the knees/culf muscles.
