want to retain your length? do this first. ☝🏾

before you wash, roller set or style, take a little time with your ends.

1. section your hair into manageable pieces.
2. gently separate any knots with your fingers, adding slip as needed.
3. detangle from the ends upward, working your way toward the roots.
4. keep each section separated so it doesn’t tangle right back up.

we do this prep before every natural hair service at curly color magic.

why? because tangled ends can become even more difficult to work through during washing, leading to unnecessary breakage.

it takes a little more time, but we’re not in a hurry to lose strands we could’ve saved.

length retention is in the prep.
