FUMED Indie Perfume Expo was everything this weekend.
Loved meeting everyone in person finally and meeting some new people too. My only regret is that I couldn't make both days. Trying to do it all in one day had me seeing starts by the end.
Thank you to Kyle for fostering such a beautiful community. I can't wait for the next one.

Filter Day.

Sometimes the plants sit in tincture mode until I'm ready for them.

Marsh is comprised of three components, Sweetgrass, Vanilla Bean and Carolina Gold rice. On its own the scent is beautiful and rich in natural coumarin.
Marsh is warm and cooling at the same time, like a mint julep on warm summer evening at sunset. That is how I formulated Marsh and honored every time I need to make a new batch❤️

I know I post filter days often and here's why.
I love watching and sharing the clarification of the perfume with each stage of filtering.
I usually don't filter until we are getting close to launch, but having said that....sometimes I still wait. As the perfume fills the air I can't help but ask myself "is it done or does it need a small tweak?" 😩it's doing everything I formulated it to do but.....the business part of the process kicks in I have to ask myself all the questions that kill the creativity.
And so the waiting and contemplating begins, until I've answered all of those questions and am ready to let it go.
