A note from Jen on our 5 year anniversary 💚

July is a big month around here. Five years ago, Travis and I purchased a little wellness spa called MeTime with a dream bigger than the building it came in. I was still in the fire department then - white-knuckling my way through shifts, piecemealing my own mental and physical health together with whatever I could find, whenever I could afford it. The writing was on the wall that I wasn't going to make it to full retirement. My body and mind were already telling me what I wasn't ready to hear yet.

So we made a move. We bought MeTime as a way to start putting wheels in motion to build something I could pour myself into when the time came. A place where I could spread a message I believed in and help people the way I wished someone had helped me. What I didn't know then was how much I still had to go through before I'd really understand what that message was.

Five years later, we relaunched as Renew. New name. Deeper roots. The same heart, the same team, and the same stubborn belief that you deserve care that actually works - without driving across the valley or taking out a second mortgage to afford it.

I'm so proud of what this place has become. Not just the services or the space, but the people. You. The ones who found us when you were exhausted and didn't know where else to turn. The ones who've been here since MeTime. The ones who walked in last week. You're all why we keep going.

And just because I can't let July pass without saying it, Travis and I met in July of 1990. Thirty-six years. He has been my partner in every version of this life, including the hard ones. The fact that we get to build this together is something I don't take lightly for a single day.

Big hair, bigger dreams - and yes, that is a mustache. Thirty six years later and we are still at it. Some things get better with age. Here's to five years. Here's to what's next. And here's to you - because none of this exists without you.
